Blind man’s buff or blind man’s bluff is a children’s game, a variant of tag. The traditional name of the game is “blind man’s buff”, wherein the word buff is used in its older sense of a small push. The game later also became known as “blind man’s bluff”; it is possible that this name is a linguistic corruption, or it may originate from an older sense of bluff meaning to blindfold.

Blind man’s buff is played in a spacious area, such as outdoors or in a large room, in which one player, designated as “It”, is blindfolded and gropes around attempting to touch the other players without being able to see them, while the other players scatter and try to avoid the person who is “it”, hiding in plain sight and sometimes teasing them to make them change direction.

Blind man’s buff is ideally played in an area free of dangerous obstructions so that the “It” player will not suffer injury from tripping over or hitting something.

 Kör adamın alanı ideal olarak tehlikeli engellerin olmadığı bir alanda oynanır, böylece “It” oyuncusu takılıp bir şeye çarparak yaralanmaz.

We do not have to introduce the idol of Turkish pop music for the ones who already know Tarkan. This article contains interesting information about this Turkish music pop star.

Tarkan is today one of the great idols of the Turkish pop music in Turkey and internationally. He opened the music market in Turkey for a new music style that was not played in Turkey before. His music is a mixture of east and west styles with pop music.

Tarkan began his success in 1994 after appearing live in a special pop music program for the radio and Turkish television. Tarkan was born in 1972 in Germany and lived there until he was 16 years old. His parents were Turkish emigrants. In 1986 he returned to Turkey to study music, Tarkan also played at bars and night clubs in Istanbul. Tarkan has education in classic music and he writes his own music. He studied at the conservatory of Karamurel in Turkey and he had several Turkish teachers.

He met Mehmet Sogutoglu that made him a Turkish pop music star. His first album was “Yine Sensiz” (Without you again) that sold 700 thousand copies in 1992. His second album was made in 1994 “Acayipsin” (You are sensational) and sold more than 2 million copies in Turkey and 700 thousand copies in Europe, an unique event for a Turkish singer.

In 1997, after having a break of 3 years, Tarkan returned with the album “Olurum Sana” (I die for you) he also made an international tour in which people filled a stadium in London, the Bataclan in Paris and Arena in Berlin. When the album was released he reached the third place in France and the number one in Belgium and Germany.

His fourth album was released in 1999 and it is called “Tarkan”. It contains a
collection of his best music This album was especially created to conquer international markets such as Europe, Asia, United States and Latin America.

In 2001 he released the album “Karma” that was a success in Turkey and Europe.

In 2003 he released the album “Dudu” that has 5 music and 5 remixes. Tarkan did
also a tour in Turkey and several presentations for Turkish television. Today Tarkan keep on being an idol for the Turks and keep on conquering the international public.

Ramadan is 30 days.Every day fasting starts at sahur (a meal taken just before dawn during Ramadan) And finishes at iftar..During daytime, We mustn’t eat and drink. The main reason why religious festivals are not celebrated on the same days every year is because they are calculated according to the lunar calendar called “kameri takvim”.According to the Kameri calendar, Ramadan is celebrated on the first three days of the month Seval. Festival of ramadan, people visit neighbours, relatives and friends . Young people kiss their parents’ hands and receive best wishes and blessings from them. It is a tradition to give money or little gifts to those childreen who kiss one’s hands. Candies are served to visitors during Ramadan. That is why Ramadan is also called the “Sugar Festival. In the beginning, sweet foods were only served on Nevruz, but this gradually became a general tradition which spread to all other festivals and festival days.
during Ramadan, people come together, celebrate and entertain each other. In cities and villages, children and young people in particular meet each other at festival places and have fun. Festival areas resemble fairs in these days.
The Ramadan festival comes after one month of fasting. the fasting month is known as Ramadan Month. in summer when nights are shorter, people who fasted did not sleep after dinner but waited until sahur (a meal taken just before dawn during Ramadan). In this period, people orgainised many different forms of entertainments. Karagöz and ortaoyun were examples of Ramadan shows. In rural areas, people gathered in houses and in coffee houses where wandering minstrels used to play instruments and sing.

Ramazan Bayramında ,insanlar komşularını,akrabalarını, arkadaşlarını ziyaret ederler.Gençler yaşlıların ellerini öperler ve hayırlı dilekler alırlar..El öpen çocuklara para yada küçük hediyeler vermek bir gelenektir..Ramazan boyunca misafirlere şeker ikram edilir.Ramazanın”şeker bayramı”diye söylenmesinin nedeni bundandır. Başlangıçta tatlı yiyecekler sadece nevruzda ikram edilirdi fakat zamanla diğer bütün bayramlarda da ikram edilmesi geleneksel oldu. Ramazan boyunca insanlar bir araya gelir ve bayramı kutlar eğlenirler.Şehirlerde ve köylerde çocuklar ve genç insanlar bayram yerlerinde buluşur, eğlenir,iyi vakit geçirir.Bu günlerde bayram yerleri fuar yerlerine benzer.

The year is divided into four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. In spring nature awakens from her long winter sleep. The trees are filled with new life, the earth is warmed by the rays of the sun, and the weather gets gradually milder. The fields and meadows are covered with fresh green grass. The sky is blue and cloudless. At night millions of stars shine in the darkness.
When summer comes the weather gets warmer still and sometimes it’s very hot. It’s the farmer’s busy season: – he works in his field from morning till night. The grass must be cut and the hay must be made, while the dry weather lasts. Sometimes the skies are overcast with heavy clouds. There are storms with thunder, lightning and hail.
Autumn brings with it the harvest-time when crops are gathered in and the fruit is picked in the orchards. The days get shorter and the nights longer. The woods turn yellow and brown, leaves begin to fall from the trees, and the ground is covered with them. The skies are grey and very often it rains.
When winter comes, we’re obliged to spend more time indoors because out-of-doors it’s cold. We may get fog, sleet and frost. Ponds, lakes, rivers and streams are frozen, and the roads are sometimes covered with slippery ice or deep snow. The trees are bare. Bitter north winds have stripped them of all their leaves

Hıdırellez or Hıdrellez (Turkish: Hıdrellez or Hıdırellez) (Azerbaijani language: Xıdır Ilyas  or Xıdır Nəbi) is celebrated as the day on which Prophets Hızır (Al-Khidr) and Ilyas (Elijah) met on the earth. Hıdırellez starts on May 5 night and falls on May 6 in the Gregorian calendar and April 23 in the Julian calendar. It is celebrated in Turkey  and throughout the Turkic world. It celebrates the arrival of spring and is a religious holiday for the Alevi as well.

Hızır and Ilyas, the names of the two prophets, fused together, forming the name of the festival, Hıdırellez.
There are various theories about the origin of Hızır and Hıdırellez. Various ceremonies and rituals were performed for various gods with the arrival of spring or summer in Mesopotamia, Anatolia, Iran and other Mediterranean countries from ancient times.One widespread belief suggests that Hızır has attained immortality by drinking the water of life.
