He wrote fantastical mini story in old times. But he don’t write now. Maybe he’s grow up.

“So ve such”niteledikleri kelimelere “çok” anlamı verir. Türkçe’ye ayrıca “o ……kadar ki” şeklinde de aktarılır.

►“So” dan sonra sadece sıfat ve zarf gelebilir.
- Your house is so beautiful (Senin evin çok güzel.)
-Bu cümlede so’dan sonra sıfat gelmiştir.
- I’m waiting him so patiently (Onu sabırla bekliyorum.)
- Bu cümlede so’dan sonra zarf gelmiştir.
- She is so beautiful that everybodywants to marry her. (O kadar güzel ki,herkes onunla evlenmek istiyor.)
- He has so many books that he can’tremember how many. (O kadar çok kitabı varki sayısını hatırlayamıyor. )
- The problem was so difficult that wecouldn’t solve it. (Problem o kadar zordu ki çözemedik.)

► “such” tan sonra sadece sıfat tamlaması (sıfat + isim) gelir.
- That’s such a boringfilm (O kadar sıkıcı bir film ki.)
- They are such clever students (O kadar zeki öğrenciler ki)
- He gave such a wonderful speechthat we were surprised. (O kadar güzel birkonuşma yaptı ki hepimiz şaşırdık.)
- It was such a nice weather that weall went out. (Hava o kadar güzeldi ki,hepimiz dışarı çıktık.)
- Your brother is such a sweet boy that Imiss him. (Kardeşin o kadar tatlı bir çocukki, onu özlüyorum.)

► Duruma göre so ve such şaşırma ifadesi olarak da kullanılabilir.
- Fenerbahçe has won the match. I didn’t expect them toplay so well
(Fenerbahçe son maçı kazandı. Bu kadar iyi oynamalarını beklemiyordum.)
- Why did you wait for him such along time. (Onu neden bu kadar uzun süre bekledin?)

“Must” bir şeyin yada bir durumun “çok gerekli yada zorunlu” olması anlamındadır ve bu gerekliliği ya da zorunluluğu yerine getirmekten başka çaremiz yoktur. Günlük yazı ve konuşma dilinde “HAVE TO” dan daha az sıklıkla kullanılır.
Bu genel açıklamadan sonra konuyla ilgili örneklere bakalım:
1- Necessity and strong orders or advice (Gereklilik ya da zorunluluk):
- Everybody in a family must work.
- Ailede herkes çalışmalıdır. (Ailede herkes çalışmak zorundadır)
- We must save up some money for the future.
- Gelecek için biraz para biriktirmeliyiz. (Gelecek için biraz para biriktirmek zorundadır) 2- Obligation referring to present or future (Mecburiyet):
- We must stop when the light is red.
- Trafik ışığı kırmızı yandığında durmalıyız.
- You must pay our debt immediately.
- Borcunu hemen ödemek zorundasın / ödemelisin.
3- To learn the wishes or intentions of the man we are talking to
(Birisinin niyetini ya da isteğini öğrenmek için kullanılır):
- Must I open the windows?
- Pencereleri açmak zorunda mıyım? – Why must you see him?
- Onu niçin görmen gerekiyor?
4- Prohibition and command with mustn’t.
(Yasaklama ya da direktif verme):
- You must not smoke on a bus.
- Otobüste sigara içmemelisiniz / sigara içmek yasak.
5- Deduction, logical conclusion (durumdan mantıksal sonuç çıkarma):
A: Nancy is yawning. (Nancy esniyor.)
B: She must be sleepy. (Uykusu gelmiş olmalı.)
Logical conclusion:
C: Amy plays tennis everyday. She must like to play tennis.
Amy her gün tenis oynuyor. O tenisten hoşlanıyor olmalı. Necessity:
D: If you want to get into the movie theatre, you must buy a ticket.
Eğer tiyatroya girmek istiyorsan bilet almalısın.
“must”ın, “C” cümlesinde olduğu gibi mantıksal bir sonuç çıkarma ve “D” cümlesinde olduğu gibi bir gereklilik ifade ettiğine dikkat ediniz. Negative logical conclusion:
E: Eric ate everything on his plate except the pickle. He must not like pickles.
Eric, turşudan başka tabağındaki her şeyi yedi. O turşudan hoşlanmıyor olmalı.
