General characteristics of Sagittarius
Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac.
It is a mutable fire sign and masculine. It is opposed to Gemini. It is ruled by the planet Jupiter and it is a symbol of a centaur that has an arch and arrow; that is why some astrologers say that the symbol of Sagittarius is the archer. There are two visible stars in the constellation of Sagittarius; X Sagittarii and W Sagittarii.
